Rosalía is ringing in her birthday by sharing “Omega,” a new song she recorded with Madrid-based singer-songwriter and producer Ralphie Choo. The two co-produced the track along with Noah Goldstein and Dylan Patrice Wiggins. “Omega” also comes with a music video, directed by regular collaborator Stillz, of Rosalía and Choo singing along while riding a rollercoaster together and laughing up a storm. Watch it below.
In a statement about the track, Rosalía described Choo as “a whirlwind of energy in the studio” and a “super creative and incredibly generous” musician to work with. “Omega is the end, it’s the celebration of having found what you wanted and the security with which one decides to stay. Omega is firmness with the one you love that makes you not want to be anywhere else but there,” she added.
Rosalía’s last album, the Grammy-winning Motomami, came out in 2022. She’s since recorded songs with a handful of high-profile artists—including the Björk collaboration “Oral,” the Rauw Alejandro single “Vampiros,” and “New Woman” by Blackpink’s Lisa—as well as songs of her own, like “Tuya.” She also performed at Coachella in 2023.
As for Choo, he released his debut album, Supernova, last year, which features the Mura Masa–produced single “Máquina Culona”—one of the best songs of 2023—and lead track “Gata.”
