Jhené Aiko is joined by the legendary Nas in the video for “10k Hours” off her Grammy-nominated album Chilombo.
The black-and-white clip starts off with the L.A. singer in the studio, looking stunning in an oversized floral dress while singing along to the piano-driven track. A dapper Nas later comes through in a suit and hat to bless the mic with his iconic flow.
“10k Hours” is the latest visual from Chilombo following “Born Tired,” “A&B,” and the animated clip for “Down Again” with Wiz Khalifa, which appears on the deluxe edition.
Chilombo received three Grammy nominations including Album of the Year and Best Progressive R&B Album, while her John Legend collab “Lighting & Thunder” earned a nod for Best R&B Performance.
In an interview with Apple Music, Jhené reflected on working with the King’s Disease rapper, who she opened for on his “Life Is Good/Black Rage” tour with Ms. Lauryn Hill in 2012.
“He went in and killed it. It was like legendary,” she said. “I’m like, ‘I can’t believe Nas is right there recording a verse for my album, sounding just like Nas.’”
