Ab-Soul’s Comeback Continues as ‘The Intelligent Movement Tour’ Kicks Off This Summer

In January, Ab-Soul reached out to LeBron James to “A&R the next album.” Whether King James and the Los Angeles Lakers will still be playing basketball in June is uncertain, but one thing’s for sure: Ab-Soul’s “The Intelligent Movement Tour” is set to kick off on June 2, as announced on April 5. In December, Ab-Soul released Herbert, his first album since 2016’s Do What Thou Wilt. Uproxx praised the album, noting that Ab-Soul’s rap nerd tendencies were still present and applauding him for addressing more grounded subjects on Herbert, even when things took a darker turn.

Ab-Soul recently celebrated his birthday in February with an NPR “Tiny Desk Concert,” where he performed Herbert tracks like “Message In A Bottle,” “It Be Like That,” “FOMF,” “Fallacy,” “Do Better,” and “Gotta Rap.”
