Is Ya Boi L.I.V.E the Face of the 631?

Multi-talented artist and entrepreneur Ya Boi L.I.V.E comes from Amityville, NY where he grew up in a modest home with three of his nine siblings. Seeking a brighter future, the hip hop artist moved to Baltimore at the age of 16. Growing up during a tough period in the city, the rapper was lured into a life of crime. After being arrested by the authorities for drug-related offenses such as distribution, conspiracy, and possession, he narrowly avoided a 5-10 year sentence and completed community service, pursuing his education before returning to New York to make a fresh start.

Music served as the foundation for Ya Boi L.I.V.E’s redemption, fueling his ambition and imagination. Alongside A-La Da Analist, K-Left, and Shadu, he formed Fouplay (Fp) and expanded to include other artists to create The FoulPlay Family Tree (FpFt). Together, they began producing their first mixtapes, adopting a business mindset to distribute them through local pop stores and bootleg CDs. Don P, their first supporter, helped spread their name throughout by connecting them with DJs. With Mix Master Maniac, who previously worked with Long Island superstar Rakim, the group created Mixtape Madness volumes 1, 2, and 3.

Ya Boi L.I.V.E has gained recognition for his dynamic sound and electrifying chemistry with DemFoulPlayBoyz. With over 200 songs in their catalog, including fan-favorites such as “Amityville Day,” “Da New Era Mixtape,” and “Cold World,” their music has garnered a steady and devoted following. The rapper’s solo projects have also earned him acclaim, showcasing his range as an artist with releases such as Diamond In The Ruff parts 1 and 2, DaLivest “n” DaFlyest, SummerTime Grind, LiveWire Muzik Vol. 1, and the recent IwasBorn2bSeen. His music is a fusion of hip-hop, R&B, and soul, making for a fresh and dynamic sound.

In addition to his musical accomplishments, Ya Boi L.I.V.E, as CEO of Nuthin But Da Best Entertainment, along with Filthy Rich; a prominent figure in the local industry, utilized consistent branding, distributed gear, hosted live shows, and launched a podcast, propelling them towards their desired empire. The rapper also founded DaVille Clothing, a stylish sportswear line that complements his music. He is a true hip hop gem whose exceptional creativity and captivating artistry make him a standout talent that people must definitely keep an eye on.
