Arooj Aftab has released the new song “Whiskey.” It’s the second single from her new album, Night Reign, following “Raat Ki Rani.” Find the new track below.
Night Reign, Aftab’s follow-up to 2021’s excellent Vulture Prince, is out May 31. Discussing her new single in a press statement, the musician explained, “‘Whiskey’ is about being out at night with someone you like, but the evening gets a little carried away. My friend has had too much, now I am tired, and I need to figure out how to get us both home. But overall somehow the night and the interaction is still pretty cute.”
On Thursday, November 7, Arooj Aftab will perform at Roundhouse as part of Pitchfork Music Festival London.
