What do we have here.
Raekwon has a new album out called The Emperor’s New Clothes that released this past Friday via Mass Appeal. Rae has been on the Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber tour so has not been able to promote the album as much as he would have liked, so far.
But the album is sounding solid. It features guest appearances from Griselda (Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, & Benny The Butcher), Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Marsha Ambrosius and of course, Nas. The legendary emcee appears on the track ‘The Omreta’ which is a standout on the project.
The verse that is heard on the album sounds crazy but this is interesting. An alternate version of the verse has surfaced today which has different lyrics and which some are calling shots at Jim Jones. This verse apparently played on some DSPs and even Instagram for a little bit before it switched over the one that is final one.
So our best guess is it was ingested with the one heard below but later changed to final one now live across all platforms.
“You got me confused with your fabricated form of delusion / You’re dusty, need to be b***h-smacked,” Nasir raps.
Scrapped verse:
NEW NAS VERSE POSSIBLY RESPONDING TO JIM JONES NEGATIVE COMMENTS TOWARDS HIM ON RAEKWONS
NEW ALBUM
(This was the unlocked verse
That didn’t get on the album)
Both verses crazy by the way
