Fetty Wap Speaks On 50 Cent Helping Him While He Was In Prison: Watch

Fetty Wap has been on his first interview post-prison term just this Friday, on The Breakfast Club, where the rapper opened up about his life behind bars.

The rapper was released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Sandstone 11 months earlier than scheduled after serving time for a federal drug trafficking related case.

While Fetty Wap spoke on a range of topics, one aspect of prison life caught fans’ ears almost immediately. Speaking on support he received while he was in prison, the rapper spoke on artists like Coi Leray and 50 Cent. According to the rapper, 50 Cent’s contribution to making his life a little easier was the biggest.

“Man, 50, I don’t know where to start with him. 50 did a lot for me. From day one, it was like he reached out, like, ‘Yo, whatever you need, just holla at me.’… Whatever I needed he was right there. He answered the phone. He didn’t shy off… As far as financial and mental help, he was probably there the biggest,” he said. Check out the full interview below (the 50 Cent mention comes around the 7:43 min mark!)

In the midst of all the online trolling 50 Cent does, it is perhaps easy to forget the silent ways in which he shows up for his people and the Fetty Wap situation is a powerful reminder of the fact. What do you think?
