If you thought Drake was the only one making the ‘Iceman’ term cool, think again. UK’s rap sensation Central Cee has just released a music video for what he calls the ‘Iceman Freestyle,’ where he not only bars up in the most British way possible, but also slyly mentions Drake.
While the mention isn’t a massive one, Central Cee references to Drake’s lyrics when he asks, “Where the fu*k is the function at,” not once, but twice to make it stick. In the video, Cench can be seen in a Peaky Blinder-esque gangster-businessman aesthetic that compliments him very well.
The song itself has a UK drill bounce, and is both laid back and aggressive at the same time. If there was a way to define the attitude, perhaps the closest word would be ‘snarl.’ All in all, the song further cements Central Cee’s position within the UK rap scene and creates yet another wave within hip hop globally.
