After a series of delays that created palpable excitement and anticipation for its release, Chief Keef’s Almighty So 2 has finally seen the light of day.
For Keef fans, this is a huge moment, especially owing to the album’s positioning as a sequel to the 2013 project, Almighty So.

The anticipation for this sequel dates all the way back to 2019, when Keef first revealed the artwork for it. Of course, since then, the artwork has undergone multiple reiterations, with the latest one packaged just right for the DSPs.

Featuring 16 tracks all produced by Sosa, the album flaunts Keef gliding over high energy trap and drill inspired beats with stuttering hi-hats, shimmering arpeggios, and blaring horns for a considerable chunk. Different variations of bell sections, too, litter the arrangements across different tracks on the album — arguably the most on the track ‘1,2,3’ — where Keef claims his top 3 status.

The album also boasts a diverse roster of features, including Sexyy Red, G Herbo, Tierra Whack, Quavo, Ballout and Lil Gnar, hooking new age audiences with an ear for fresh takes on rap. However, has it been worth the 5+ years of wait? Find out for yourself below!
