Chris Catlin’s New Single “OtherSide” Showcases His Versatility

Chris Catlin‘s newest tracks, “Otherside” and “Roses and Flames,” transcend hip-hop and reggae genres. This singer and songwriter creates an engaging feel with a silky, gloomy combination of Urban R&B and Caribbean dancehall influenced by his Cayman Island heritage.

Chris Catlin, who is known for his bright and happy music, has become more emotional in his recent albums, reflecting about the pain of losing a loved one:

“‘Roses and Flames’ was inspired by my father’s passing.” When dad died, I saw that the pain became less and less as time went on,” Chris Catlin explained. “OtherSide,” a tune I released shortly after, is about a girl going through what I went through when I lost someone I cared about. But it’s about how there’s another side to things/a different side to life where we can let go of everything.”

Catlin skillfully explains how his enthusiasm for music originates deep from his comprehensive mastery of the profession, seeing how music can touch the souls of many, communicating to listeners on a personal level, while speaking about the life-changing death of his father.

Catlin explained, “Music talks to your spirit.” “I can listen to a song in a completely foreign language without understanding a single word, and that music can make me feel precisely what it’s supposed to make me feel, even if I don’t understand a single word.” That’s why I enjoy music so much… He went on to say, “It’s all about emotion for me.”

Chris Catlin’s brilliance and ingenuity are unrivaled in the music industry, and he continues to break down limits. His background has had a significant impact on his sound. Chris Catlin, who currently resides in Fort Myers, Florida, never forgets how far he’s gone and where he wants to go in his music career:

“I grew up in the Caribbean, thus the musically oriented lifestyle and culture have a strong influence on my music.” My father, who was a phenomenal guitarist, impacted my style, and I adore musicians like Collie Buddz and Popcaan, who exemplify the dancehall sound,” Chris stated.

“After graduating from high school, I realized I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life, but I knew this music thing came effortlessly to me and offered me joy.” I became more aware of my Caribbean heritage and used them in my work.”

Chris Catlin has a number of projects in the works, including a forthcoming reggae project. Check out “OtherSide” and “Roses and Flames,” two of his most recent offerings, below. You can also follow him on Instagram, where he goes by the handle @iamchriscatlin.
