Daylyt and AzChike Clap Back At Joey Bada$$ With Disses: Listen

The growing tensions between Joey Bada$$ and the West Coast rap fraternity took an interesting turn earlier this month with the release of a RedBull Cypher with Joey Bada$$, Ab-Soul and Big Sean.

In response, Joey went toe to toe against Ray Vaughn, who dropped his track ‘Hoe Era‘ in response to the cypher. Joey arguably delivered a far more lyrical rebuttal with schemes stretching over 16 bars and held his own with ‘The Finals.’ But now, two more tracks have come in hot in midst of this rap war — the much anticipated reply from Daylyt, alongside AzChike’s entry into the spat.

Daylyt was actively name dropped and name flipped all over Joey’s verse in the cypher, and was expected to be a worthy competitor for Joey, who is lyrically proficient in his own right. Well, Daylyt more than measured up to the challenge, delivering a unique and fresh approach to diss tracks with ‘WRD2MIMVA.’ The rapper dropped a music video that began with Drake’s face blurred out as he spoke about Daylyt being someone whose diss tracks would be something special.

Shortly after, he jumps straight into a warning track claiming to win Game 1 of what Joey called ‘The Finals.’ He ends the track mysteriously, too, stating that ‘somebody’ knew something about Joey’s life that was a problem; somebody that may have committed suicide.

On the other hand, AzChike came with a relaxed swagger crafting his own sound on what is groovier of the two tracks. The track is called ‘What Would You Do,’ and the question is completed by the intro sample: “What would you do if you were caught with your pants down.” Pretty direct way to start a diss track as far as disses are concerned. The rapper dissed Joey in reference to writing for Post Malone and resorting to acting when rapping wasn’t really working out. Check it out below!
