DD Osama, the 16-year-old superstar leading the charge of NYC drill, has just announced the 5/12 release date for his debut project, Here 2 Stay, along with his new video single, “Who I Am”. After releasing a string of viral singles, including “40s N 9s” (feat. Sugarhillddot) (25M streams), DD Osama blew up seemingly overnight, catapulting himself from regional frontrunner to bubbling international star. DD has inspired dozens of dedicated fan pages across all social media platforms, many of which have racked up follower counts in the six-figure range – and on TikTok alone, #ddosama has 4.5B views. In just a matter of months, DD Osama quickly went from sporting his school uniform to modelling for Kanye’s YZY SHDZ campaign and Drake’s NOCTA x Nike ‘Street Uniform’ collection alongside fellow Harlem rappers and lifelong friends Sugarhillddot & the late Edot Baby. As he’s kicked off his touring career, DD Osama has sold out every single show—all packed wall-to-wall with screaming teenage girls. Most notably, he performed a sold-out show at The Roxy in LA—a feat that the NYC drill scene hasn’t seen since the rise of Pop Smoke. At the end of last year, DD turned in his “On The Radar Freestyle”, an NYC drill right of passage, racking up 2 million net streams in just 2 months. In celebration of his debut project arriving this Friday, the NYC drill stand-out will also be performing his debut show in his hometown at Racket. After initially selling out the venue in just a week, 100 extra tickets have now been added. Here 2 Stay is out this Friday, 5/12.

On his new single “Who I Am”, DD further showcases his soulful lyrics and knack for effortlessly incorporating melodies into his very own unique drill sound. As he invites his latest love interest to stay with him until death, he’s simultaneously flexing his status in the game – “She my wife, but you act like a friend / But she know the real vibe / When it’s just me and her, she my queen and she says that I’m him”, he raps passionately towards the end of the hook. After keeping his die-hard fans happy with a non-stop stream of invigorating records, including the explosive solo performance “MIA” and red-hot posse cut “REAL TALK” (feat. DudeyLo, Sugarhill Ddot & JayKlickin), DD Osama is now continuing his red-hot momentum with the release of his debut project, Here 2 Stay.
