Doechii, the rising star of Top Dawg Entertainment and Capitol Records, has dropped a fiery freestyle over Beyoncé’s “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM”, a track from her critically acclaimed album RENAISSANCE. The freestyle showcases Doechii‘s lyrical prowess, witty wordplay, and confident delivery as she addresses her competition, her success, and her identity as a Black woman in the rap industry.

The freestyle was first teased on TikTok in March 2023, where it quickly gained traction and praise from fans and fellow artists. Doechii later confirmed that she was invited by Beyoncé herself to be part of the official remix of the song, along with other female rappers such as Missy Elliott, Bia, and Megan Thee Stallion. The remix is expected to be released later this year.

Doechii has been making waves in the music scene since her debut EP Oh the Places You’ll Go (2020), which spawned the viral hit “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake”. She followed up with her second EP Bra-Less (2021) and her first major label release She / Her / Black Bitch (2022), which featured the singles “Persuasive” and “Crazy”. She has also collaborated with artists such as Isaiah Rashad, David Guetta, Afrojack, and Kodak Black. Her latest single “What It Is (Block Boy)” (featuring Kodak Black) peaked at number 75 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking her first entry on the chart.

Doechii is widely regarded as one of the most original and versatile voices in hip hop today. She has received nominations for an MTV Video Music Award and two Soul Train Music Awards. In 2023, she was awarded the Rising Star Award from Billboard Women in Music.
