Don Toliver and Doja Cat are dropping their new collaboration “Lose My Mind” from the F1 movie soundtrack this week.
The two are heard harmonizing on the hook “So why don’t we just lose my mind?” in the hi-tech video clip that was shared on Instagram by the Formula 1, F1 movie and F1 album accounts Tuesday (April 29).
“Lose My Mind” will be released Wednesday at noon ET as the first single from the soundtrack.
“Lose My Mind” isn’t the first song Toliver has contributed to a soundtrack for a movie centered on cars. Four years ago, he collaborated with Lil Durk and Latto on “Fast Car” from the F9: The Fast Saga (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). This is the second time Doja has contributed an original song for a film soundtrack, following “Vegas” for Elvis (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) in 2022. “Vegas” reached No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and hit No. 1 on both Pop Airplay (for four weeks) and Rhythmic Airplay (one week).

Doja has also been teasing her upcoming fifth studio album Vie by posting its potential track list. Vie would be the follow-up LP to her 2023 album Scarlet, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Since dropping his fourth studio album Hardstone Psycho last year, Toliver has collaborated with Wiz Khalifa, J-Hope and more on various singles.
