Drake Talks ‘Iceman’ Live Streams, Says The Finale “Will Be Our Best Work”

The rollout for Drake’s upcoming album Iceman was going very strong but has quieted down a little, to the surprise of some fans. As well as the slew of singles which we’ve come to expect from Drake, he was doing the Iceman live streams where he’d tell pieces of a story and debut new music, some of which would drop on streaming right after the episode and some of which we’re yet to hear.

As fans eagerly await the fourth episode, Drake has given Complex a rare interview over emails where he talks about the live streams, explaining why he wanted to do them in the first place, the interesting logistics of the episodes and more. To fans’ relief, he does confirm there’s at least one more episode on the way and he promises that the finale will be their best work.

Drake told Complex that he felt things were a little quiet in music, plus he’d been dying to act, which is what brought the idea of the streams about. He also says he studied IRL streamers (like Speed and Adin Ross) and liked the unpredictable energy around it. He also talked about the infamous moment where he pressed a fan who called him a bitch. Check out the excerpt below and the full interview here. Maybe this means we can expect the fourth stream this Friday?

I wouldn’t even say I broke character cause that’s some iceman shit—you can’t just page me while I am driving around spreading good vibrations.” He adds, with an LOL, “He started moving quick after that. No more talking.”
