Emily Sprague, the creative force behind the project Florist, has officially announced her upcoming solo album. Titled Cyano, the project is scheduled for release on October 2 via Rvng Intl. The album features 14 tracks, including the previously released single “Double Moon,” which debuted earlier this year.
To mark the announcement, Sprague has shared a new track from the record, “Sing To.” The song arrives alongside a music video directed by V Haddad, Sprague’s real-life partner. The visual narrative beautifully interweaves footage from a trip the couple took to Iceland with intimate glimpses of their home in Upstate New York, providing a serene and atmospheric backdrop to Sprague’s signature spectral vocals and delicate, wandering synth arrangements.
Cyano serves as the latest long-player released under Sprague’s own name. While it follows last year’s Florist record, Jellywish, this new project distinguishes itself as her first solo effort to feature lead vocals. Although a full tour in support of the album has yet to be announced, fans can catch Sprague performing live this month. She is set to join Grouper for a special performance at New York City’s Town Hall on September 15.
