The dust had barely settled on Super Bowl LVIII when fans began touting their favorites for the 2025 Halftime Show performance, with many citing Lil Wayne as the perfect artist to headline the event alongside fellow Young Money alum Drake and Nicki Minaj.

“Drake Wayne and Nicki doing a Super Bowl halftime show would break records,” wrote one X user.

Many others manifested a performance from the Young Money trifecta, posting as though the trio already had the slot.

“Next year we shall get a Lil Wayne Super Bowl in New Orleans with Drake and Nicki as guests.”

While Drake and Nicki Minaj are yet to comment on the 2025 Super Bowl – the former is currently touring with J. Cole while the latter is gearing up to hit the road on her Pink Friday tour – Lil Wayne has previously addressed the topic.

Since the announcement that New Orleans will host the 2025 Super Bowl, many have called for local hero Lil Wayne to headline.

“I will not lie to you, I have not got a call or nothing,” he said during an appearance on YG’s 4HUNNID podcast earlier this month. “But we are praying. We praying. We keeping our fingers crossed. I’m working hard. I’mma make sure this next album and everything I do is killer. I wanna just make it hard for them not to holler at the boy.”

According to Sportsbook Review, Lil Wayne is the favorite to perform at the 202 Super Bowl. Drake and Nicki Minaj are third and fourth in the running, respectively, while Taylor Swift is second favorite.
