Freddie Gibbs Disses Gunna and Akademiks On New Album With Alchemist: ‘Alfredo 2’

Freddie Gibbs and Alchemist are finally out with their album Alfredo 2, probably Freddie’s most anticipated project since the first Alfredo album. Now, while the album is sonically exquisite thanks to Alchemist’s musical acumen, it is not the sole reason the project stands out. What has really perked the ears of fans are also certain bars on the project, which are obvious shots towards two prominent people in hip hop. This is specifically on the song titled ‘Lavish Habits.’

First one being Gunna, whom he called a ‘bastard.’ To be precise, here’s the actual bar from Freddie: “Gunna dissed me & took a plea, he a rat b*stard.” Now, this is one of those things that could turn into an all out diss battle between the two rappers. Although for either of them, rap controversy isn’t new at all, and Freddie has had some recent experience lyrically fighting off rappers like JPEGMAFIA.

On the other hand, Freddie also had a bar that would make you ‘pause.’ It actually came up right before the Gunna bar, and goes: “I’m still gon’ squeeze Akademiks’ t*tties, that fat bastard.” Not sure how many people this would offend, especially considering how attitudes to Akademiks can be seen changing in hip hop. Well, what do you think?
