French Montana released his latest album Mac & Cheese 5 this past Friday to a decent response.
There was a lot of critique too as French resorted to DSP spamming around the release, putting out 6 versions of the albums – slowed, sped up, acapella and instrumental, in addition to putting out every single song as a single on streaming platforms.
A project with all of these songs (126) was also available which made it clear that he was trying to juice every single stream possible. Did that help him though? HDD projects that Mac & Cheese 5 is expected to move 32k copies in the first week for a top 20 debut on the Billboard 200 chart.
The album features guest appearances from Kanye West (2 songs), Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Rick Ross, Jeremih, Meek Mill, Bryson Tiller, Westside Gunn and ATL Jacob.
