The nominations for the 2025 Golden Globe Awards are in. Wicked made a strong showing, earning Ariana Grande her first Golden Globe nomination, and the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown is another front-runner, with nods including Best Male Actor in a drama, for Timothée Chalamet, and the coveted Best Picture – Drama award. It was also a good morning for Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which earned leads Donald Glover and Maya Erskine acting nominations, as well as getting a nod in Best Television Series – Drama.

Elsewhere, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross were recognized in Best Original Score – Motion Picture for Challengers and for “Compress/Repress” in Best Original Song. Former Yuck frontman Daniel Blumberg is also up for Best Original Score – Motion Picture for his work on The Brutalist, with Conclave, The Wild Robot, Emilia Pérez, and Dune: Part Two rounding out the category.

The other Best Original Song nominees include Miley Cyrus, Lykke Li, and Andrew Wyatt—for “Beautiful That Way” from The Last Showgirl—as well as contributors to Emilia Pérez, The Wild Robot, and the Robbie Williams movie Better Man. Emilia Pérez also earned Selena Gomez a nomination in Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture, where she competes alongside Grande and Margaret Qualley (The Substance), among others. Find more nominees on the CBS News website.

The 82nd Golden Globe Awards air January 5 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on CBS, marking the show’s second time on the network since 1982 following a regular stretch on NBC. The only year it wasn’t televised or livestreamed was back in 2022, the year that Billie Eilish and Finneas won Best Original Song for their James Bond theme “No Time to Die.”
