Halle Bailey Granted Restraining Order Against DDG Over Physical & Emotional Abuse

Halle Bailey, in consideration of her safety and well-being, has recently been granted a restraining order which has been imposed on rapper/ streamer DDG. The two have had a toxic relationship turned ugly, and are parents to a one year old child.

Bailey revealed that their relationship turned sour to the extent of it being physically violent in January, with multiple instances of violence. Apparently, the first instance of violence took place when the two got into an argument regarding visitation and it’s scheduling (in relation to their son) — which was a concern Bailey wanted to bring up with DDG.

The details of the accusation are violent — allegedly, DDG aimed to stop Bailey from taking their son in her car as the argument escalated. Yelling out to Bailey asking her to step out of “his car” and calling her the B-word, DDG proceeded to slam Bailey’s face into the steering wheel. The actor was considerably hurt by this and even chipped a tooth.

After the first incident, Bailey reported two more incidents — one in March and one more recently, this weekend. Apparently, DDG confronted Bailey over vacationing with rapper and singer Brent Faiyaz, while Bailey claims to have been on a Mother’s Day trip with her son and her mother.

“I realize that there is no placating Darryl,” Bailey said in a statement attached to the filing obtained by USA Today. “I cannot allow this abuse any longer. I cannot keep living like this. I never know when he is going to demand our son be in his mother’s care and whether I will be subjected to his threats and abuse.”

In addition to the restraining order, Bailey also filed for a cease and desist in order to stop DDG from posting about her or their son, Halo, over social media. The rapper notably, in the past, released a song called ‘Don’t Take My Son,’ following which it may not be a surprise if DDG takes things online. Bailey also requested the judge to be able to take her son to Italy, where she has filming commitments, and is pushing for a more permanent restraining order. The court hearing for this is scheduled for June 4, 2025.
