Hit-Boy Looks To Continue 2020 Dominance With Dreezy Album On The Way

Hit-Boy isn’t messing around this year. Following an onslaught of producer and executive producer credits with artists such as Nas, Big Sean and Lil Wayne, now the multi-platinum producer is working on a project with Chicago rapper Dreezy.

“Me and @Hit_Boy 12 songs in,” she wrote with a muscle arm emoji on Thursday (November 5).

Retweeting the post, Hit-Boy added, “New [wave].”

Last month, the Hits Since 1987 founder claimed the crown for most versatile producer of the year and told followers to do their Googles if they had any disputes.

“I don’t like being controversial and I love all my producer homies but I came wit the most styles in 2020,” he wrote. “Look it up.”

While serving as EP for Nas’ August album King’s Disease and Sean’s September effort Detroit 2, Hit-Boy also produced Benny’s Burden of Proof album in full this year and could potentially end up doing a project with Curren$y as well.

The project with Dreezy will serve as the follow-up to her 2019 sophomore album, Big Dreez. Released in January 2019, the 10-track effort included appearances from Kash Doll, Jeremih, Jaquees and Offset.

Earlier this year, the Chicago native told HipHopDX she’s been crafting her next offering for some time and plans to release it by year’s end. It may be separate from her work with Hit-Boy, however.

“This next album is going to be really, really special to me,” she said. “I’m really hands-on with it and I want it to be the hardest female rap album ever. I feel like if there’s anybody that got the range to do it is me. I’m taking my time with it but it’s going to come out this year.”
