J. Cole Sued By Cam’ron Over Writing Claims On ‘Ready ’24’

It appears that the Big 3 of rap and lawsuits go hand in hand — at least this year. After Drake recently faced somewhat of a defeat in the legal battle against UMG, another one of the Big 3 now finds himself in a predicament. That’s right; J. Cole has just been sued by Cam’ron.

According to a news report by TMZ (who claim to have reviewed documents pertaining to the story), Cam’ron has sought legal recourse over a deal he had with J. Cole. According to him, he authored a verse and laid it down on Cole’s ‘Ready ’24’ under the premise of a promised future collaboration.

In fact, even an appearance on Cam’ron’s podcast would have been enough. Yet, according to Cam’ron, J. Cole repeatedly conveyed he was unavailable and that the collaboration, too, remains an unfulfilled promise. Now, Cam’ron has come to collect what he feels is rightfully his: co-authorship rights for the song.

This would also mean monetary compensation for his share of the profits made via the song, which Cam’ron estimates to be at an upward of USD 500,000. What do you think about this situation?
