J. Cole To Release New Mixtape Soon; Song Titles Surface Online

J. Cole is putting out his magnum opus The Fall-Off next week and pretty much all we know about it is that he’s been working on it for a decade and that it’s a double-disc album. Fans have been replaying the new song we got for a while now, but ears perked up when Jadakiss let it slip that Cole also has a mixtape on the way where he raps over Black Rob’s ‘Can I Live’ and The LOX’s ‘Money, Power & Respect’.

Since they heard the news, fans have been speculating whether we could get the new tape on his birthday, January 28th, and whether or not this is It’s A Boy. Although neither of those theories have been confirmed, we do have some exciting news.

Last week, fans noticed that there were four tracks on thefalloff.com that were untitled and they were quickly removed from there. Now, in the past few hours, people have noticed that on J. Cole’s EVEN link, there were multiple tracks with names up. They were: ‘Seti Freestyle’, ‘Winter Storm Freestyle’, ‘Golden Goose Freestyle’ and ‘Bronx Zoo Freestyle’. You might remember that EVEN is how we got the bonus songs from the deluxe edition of 2014 Forest Hills Drive initially before they popped up on streaming, plus EVEN powered his Inevitable podcast series, so it looks like they’ve let the cat out of the bag a little early.

Another page on there calls the collection of tracks “Monday Night Mixtape”, so perhaps this is something we get on February 2nd, or perhaps it’s a working title and the tape could drop tonight to celebrate Cole’s 41st birthday. Who knows? Either way, it looks like we are indeed getting some new freestyles sooner or later.

Check out the screenshots below. The pages have since been removed.
