James Harden’s ventures continue to expand off the court. The Brooklyn Nets swingman curates the latest edition of Spotify’s Taste playlist, and his selections will be available for the rest of the month.
The Taste playlist is a new Hip-Hop and R&B playlist designed specifically for cultural tastemakers with the most sophisticated palates. Each month, Taste is curated by an appointed cultural icon or tastemaker.
Harden’s selections include “All In” by Lil Baby, “Sauce It Up” by Lil Uzi Vert, “way back” by Travis Scott, “Find A Way (feat Lil Baby)” by H.E.R., “Jumpin on a Jet” by Future, and “U See Us” by Nipsey Hussle.
“Music is the driving force behind my day to day motivation,” said Harden. “On the days that I lack, music helps me get the job done, in every area of my life. Curating a playlist for Spotify is an extension of what I do in my daily life. I find music I believe in, and I put people on.”
“Taste is a playlist brand that shares the unique story of tastemakers and their relationship to music & culture,” adds Maxwell Adepoju, Spotify’s Senior Hip-Hop Editor for N. America. “There are only a handful of athletes whose ambitions cross over into hip-hop & music cultures, and James is at the top of that list.”
Harden’s partnership with Spotify will also include a charity event at Houston’s Bayou Music Center for Harden & Friends II. Tickets will go on salea to the public on 8/13 HERE.
