It is a weird time to be a Kanye West fan for sure. With regularly distasteful and hateful tweets, harassment allegations and now, an interview with DJ Akademiks, Ye has gone off the rails.
Wearing a black coloured Ku Klux Klan like outfit and speaking to DJ Akademiks about his state of mind, Kanye has admitted (albeit egotistically) that he’s jealous of Kendrick Lamar.
In fact, Ye spoke at length about how he was jealous that Kendrick was featured on the Carti album. Speaking on the recent collaboration, Kanye mentioned how Kendrick and Carti are two very different genres and that while he loves to mix genres, this really wasn’t it. If anything, Ye put Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole in the same lane when it comes to the music they make and what it sounds like.
Further elaborating on his jealousy with Kendrick’s recent success, Ye spoke about how him and god are similar, for god also is both jealous and angry. The comparison soon snowballed into Ye talking about blessings flowing through him, and how people have benefitted off those blessings. Some names he took were John Legend, Kim Kardashian, Amber Rose, Travis Scott, Plaboi Carti, who seemingly benefitted off Kanye’s success. He even said he’s blessing Akademiks with the interview.
If this glimpse wasn’t ridiculous enough, well, there’s more. He also spoke on his tweets towards Jay-Z, and how he ‘does not fuck with’ rappers and celebrities — that people should stop being surprised at this point. Watch the complete video to see the circus for yourself!
