“Wow. N—a yall did that!!!” Lamar wrote. “I appreciate this too much dawg. The first album of a new artist from gnx. And it’s going up. I’m bout to thump it out here. I’m proud of lefty. And always love for u playing big roles behind them boards.”

“Thank you @kendricklamar,” JasonMartin wrote in his caption.

Can’t Get Right comes after Lefty Gunplay stacked up his 2024 with four mixtape releases, dropping Rookie of the Year, Famous Gangbanger, PreSeason and Most Valuable Gangbanger all within a few months of each other. Meanwhile, JasonMartin dropped two collab tapes last year — one with DJ Quik called Chupacabra and one with Mike & Keys called Repack. He also joined forces with Wiz Khalifa for the Kush & OJ 2 cut “Top Down.”

As for Kendrick, he’s deep into his ambitious Grand National Tour with SZA, which conquered Met Life Stadium in New York City on Thursday night (May 9). The duo will perform in East Rutherford, New Jersey again on Friday.
