LÉA THE LEOX Releases New EP “PURPOSE”

Today the rising genre-defying songstress LÉA THE LEOX released her debut EP PURPOSE via Genius Distro on all streaming platforms and is available in Dolby Atmos® on Apple Music, TIDAL, and Amazon Music.

Produced by ObieIII, PURPOSE brings true genre-busting artistry back to the forefront. Throughout the six-track project, LÉA’s silky tone and luscious harmonies are reminiscent of Yebba and Moses Sumney while her diverse catalog brings to mind Kehlani and Lucky Daye. Using inspiration from real-life experiences, such as her recent move to LA during the pandemic and experiencing a breakup that triggered her journey to find her purpose, LÉA’s lyrics touch on the duality of the human and spiritual experience. As a queer woman of color, LÉA owns her identity and sexuality, masterfully producing fresh takes on everyday themes– making her vulnerable yet empowering, transient yet passionate. LÉA’s ability to combine R&B, pop, and folk in songs like her latest single “Purpose,” the title track of her EP, has also garnered attention across press and DSPs, including MTV’s Bop Shop, Spotify’s “Fresh Finds R&B,” and it peaked as #3 on Audiomack.

Listening to PURPOSE in Dolby goes beyond the ordinary listening experience by immersing listeners in each song, revealing details with unparalleled clarity and depth and unlocking new levels of emotion– whether it’s feeling angry while listening to “Lonely,” experiencing that forbidden toxic love while listening to “Over Again,” or going through a personal evolution while listening to “Topanga Blues.”
