LeBron James has put his A&R hat back and is letting fans know that Drake’s Certified Lover Boy is coming soon.
“CLB coming soon, people!! My brother ain’t F’n around @champagnepapi,” James wrote on his Instagram story.
Drake would then repost King James’ IG story before following it up with a couple of his own. One with a doodle of “LB” on a notepad, obviously meaning Lover Boy.
In early July, The 6ix God was a special guest on the Fry Yiy Friday show by Sound 42 on Sirius XM and stated the album is currently being mixed. “Drake’s on his way back home to mix the album, so she’s got a bunch of new tracks coming her way,” Drake said to OVO Noel about more music coming to his daughter. “Definitely on the way home to reunite with my dog and just finish this thing up.”
Drake and James, along with Maverick Carter, are teaming to executive produce Black Ice, a documentary about the game of hockey and the marginalization of Black hockey players from the early pioneers of the Colored Hockey League in Maritimes Canada to the small number of Black players in today’s National Hockey League.
