Victorious horns sound off at the top of the track as hard-hitting beat bumps. His voice oscillates between a regal croon and nimble flows as he assures, “You’re dealing with something that’s holy.” In the accompanying visual, he rocks out in a warehouse, moving with the ebb and flow of the song itself. Surrounded by smoke, his charisma practically catches fire on screen.
About “Hold Me”, Malachiii said, “This song is about dominance. This is that song that you play before your big game, before your job interview, during your workout. This song is about pure confidence and determination. Nothing or no one can stop me or “hold me” for that matter. This is the point of no return. I am too powerful now.”
“Hold Me” just paves the way for the launch of his anxiously awaited debut, The Ascension EP, on Friday May 20. Pre-order/Pre-save—HERE.
It also follows up his fan favorite banger “I’m Back.” Upon impact, Melody Maker called him “one artist to keep on your radar.” It arrived on the heels of “Free My Soul,” which earned further critical acclaim. EUPHORIA. raved, “The track is an upbeat listen with a mellow undertone, morphing multiple genres into one sound.” The music video has already amassed 157K YouTube views thus far.
