Nas’ iconic debut album, Illmatic, celebrates its 30th anniversary today (April 19). To mark the occasion, the Queens rapper has released a new song with one of his most famous Illmatic collaborators, DJ Premier. Listen to the hip-hop artists’ “Define My Name” below. “Define My Name” is released via Nas’ Mass Appeal. According to a press release, the rapper and DJ Premier are going to drop a collaborative album later in 2024.

DJ Premier produced Illmatic’s “N.Y. State of Mind,” “Memory Lane (Sittin’ in da Park),” and “Represent.” He also contributed to Nas’ It Was Written, I Am…, Nastradamus, and Stillmatic.

Nas released two studio albums in 2023: the Hit-Boy collaborations Magic 2 and Magic 3.
