Nas Hints at New Album "Magic 2" on Instagram

Rap titan Nas has once again ignited the excitement of his fans by hinting at a possible new album. After mysteriously clearing his Instagram feed last week, Nas set off an online buzz among his followers who speculated that the rapper was preparing for a big reveal. On Tuesday, the hip-hop legend posted an intriguing video clip that has left fans guessing and hoping for a sequel to his 2021 surprise release, “Magic.”

In his latest Instagram post, Nas shared a video showing an individual executing a magic trick – escaping from a straight jacket while suspended upside down. To the average viewer, this might appear to be a random act, but for Nas’ fans, it was a coded message. The caption, consisting of just two magic wand emojis, further fueled the album sequel rumors.

The reference to “Magic” holds significant weight for Nas‘ followers as it’s the title of an album he unexpectedly dropped in late 2021 – his second project of that year. The amalgamation of these “magic” references led fans to conclude that Nas is teasing a sequel to the hit album. The comment section on the post was inundated with excited speculations. One fan commented, “MAGIC 2 coming?????,” while another was thrilled at the prospect, stating, “Magic 2, lord help us! Just the thought of this has made my whole summer.” Another popular suggestion from a fan read, “PLEASE CALL THE ALBUM STILLMAGIC,” harking back to Nas’ classic album, “Stillmatic.”

The Instagram tease isn’t the first hint of a potential “Magic” sequel. A well-regarded Reddit user, known for reliable Nas news, sparked the rumor of a forthcoming “Magic 2” earlier. Although Nas’ Instagram post did not include a release date, the Reddit speculation suggested the album might drop as early as this week.

In the last three years, Nas has been consistently delivering music to his fans. He has released four albums during this period, notably the “King’s Disease” trilogy, created in collaboration with Hit-Boy. The original “Magic” was released between the second and third installments of this trilogy, and featured contributions from several rap legends. Now, as Nas teases a sequel to “Magic,” fans are eagerly waiting for what’s next from the renowned rapper.
