This isn’t the first time Spencer has voiced her opinion about Spears’ relationship with Asghari. Shortly after the couple announced their engagement last summer, Spencer warned Britney of the risk she was taking, as seen in a since-deleted comment on Spears’ Instagram.
“Make him sign a prenup,” Spencer wrote, before later claiming that she was simply making a joke about the couple’s quick engagement.
“Y’all, a few days ago Sam and Britney announced their engagement and me being me I made a joke,” she shared. “My intention was to make them laugh not cause pain. I’ve reached out to this lovely couple privately to apologize and now want to restore just a smidge of happiness they were robbed of.”
