Orville Peck Announces Tour, Shares New Video With Willie Nelson: Watch

Orville Peck is now a Warner Records artist, and he’s shared his first single for the label: a cover of Ned Sublette’s “Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other.” Peck made his new song with Willie Nelson (who previously covered Sublette’s original in the 2000s). Watch the video for the collaboration below.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Peck said, “Willie kept talking about how the subject matter in this song was more important than ever. He wanted it to have a new life with the two of us.”

The musician added, “With all the rhetoric surrounding the LGBTQIA+ community these days, it is so encouraging to have real allies like Willie that aren’t afraid to stand proudly next to us.”

Peck plans to include “Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other” on a forthcoming duets album called Stampede. The full-length will follow April 2022’s Bronco.

Orville Peck also recently announced his Stampede Tour. See the country singer’s North American tour dates below.
