50 Cent is a name that has become synonymous with success in both the music and television industries. The rapper, turned business and TV mogul, has recently announced that he is developing a new series called Vice City at Paramount+. The series is a collaboration between Lionsgate Television, Paramount Television Studios, and 50’s G-Unit Film & Television.

The project is based on an original idea from writers and executive producers Darnell Metayer and Josh Peters, who have previously worked on the Transformers franchise. Chad Stahelski, the director and executive producer of the John Wick franchise, will also be involved in the project.

Vice City, which is currently the working title for the series, is set in Miami in the mid-80s and follows the story of three friends and former soldiers who return home after being dishonorably discharged from the military for their involvement in the Iran Contra scandal. The trio finds themselves disgraced, displaced, and forgotten by the country they served with no good job prospects. They partner with a mysterious Colombian immigrant and form a heist crew, uniting their financial needs and criminal ambitions in pursuit of the American Dream. The series promises to be a thrilling ride, with the characters traversing a violent and dangerous path in pursuit of their goals.

Chad Stahelski’s involvement in the project is a major coup for the team behind Vice City. The director is renowned for his work on the John Wick franchise, which has broken box-office records and captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. His next release, John Wick: Chapter 4, is eagerly anticipated and is scheduled to hit theaters in March 2023.

50 Cent’s recent non-exclusive broadcast deal with Fox to develop scripted dramas, live-action comedies, and animated series through his production company, G-Unit Film & Television, is further evidence of his influence and success in the television industry. With Vice City in development, fans can expect another high-quality production that will undoubtedly capture their attention and keep them on the edge of their seats.
