Roc Nation brought together some of today’s leading women in music for a bespoke video content piece, “Pass the Aux” which debuted this weekend. The collection of stories shines a light on the obstacles still deeply felt navigating the music industry as underrepresented women, while bringing unity and hope through the celebration of female peers that have inspired their careers.
Roc Nation’s Grammy-award winning writer and artist, Ambré and R&B singer-songwriter Maeta, sat down with Universal Music Publishing Group producer, Veronica “V-Ron” Vera (credits: Westside Boogie, Sabrina Claudio) and Grammy Nominated recording engineer Jenna Felsenthal (credits: Khalid, 88Rising, Teyana Taylor, RAYE, 070 Shake) at a striking Malibu estate in Los Angeles for a candid roundtable discussion.
The candid roundtable serves as a stark reminder that the uphill battle women and women of color face in the music space transcend beyond just Women’s History Month in March. The content piece also arrives ahead of Ambre’s headlining tour kicking off this Sunday, and Maeta’s special appearance on MTV’s Fresh Out Live!
