Rapper Russ, who has been a prime example of dropping music successfully as an independent artist, has just released a new song.
The track is called, ‘Movin,’ and is all about Russ moving through life whilst disregarding the noise around him. On the chorus, Russ reaffirms this emotion with a bar about how he can’t have someone “f**k up his mood,’ and that he “needs to focus.”
If you haven’t heard the track already, you can expect to hear Russ gliding over the beat in his signature soulful, broody style as he introspects about what it means to be a professional in his field. He talks about his journey from 2006 up until now, and draws from personal experiences mentioning his mother. All in all, the track overall is an attempt by Russ to communicate his emotional unavailability to a significant other.

Recently, Russ took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share big plans about his attempt to set an example for independent artists around the globe. He hinted at dropping music and making big money, and emphasised on the fact that its possible for others like him. Perhaps this track is the beginning of something really big under the wraps.
