Snoop Dogg Slams Gayle King Over Kobe Bryant Rape Question

Snoop Dogg is putting Gayle King on blast.

The rapper is furious with the “CBS This Morning” host for an interview she did with former WNBA champion Lisa Leslie where she brought up Kobe Bryant’s 2003 ual assault charge.

In an Instagram video posted Wednesday, Snoop addressed King. “Gayle King, out of pocket for that shit, way out of pocket,” he said. “What do you gain from that? I swear to God, we the worst, we the fucking worst. We expect more from you, Gayle. Don’t you hang out with Oprah?”

He added, “Why y’all attacking us, we your people. You ain’t coming after fucking Harvey Weinstein, asking him dumb ass questions. I get sick of y’all. I wanna call you one. Is it OK if I call her one? Funky, dog-haired bitch. How dare you try to tarnish my motherfuckin’ homeboy’s reputation, punk motherfucker.”

He ended his video with a warning: “Respect the family and back off, bitch, before we come get you.”

Snoop’s post, which he captioned “P. S. A. Let the family mourn in peace,” had over 1.2 million likes as of Thursday morning.

His comments come days after King interviewed Leslie, a longtime friend of Bryant. The late Lakers legend was accused of rape in 2003 by a 19-year old woman in Colorado. The case was dismissed in 2004.

“It has been said that his legacy is complicated because of the ual assault charge which was dismissed in 2003, 2004. Is it complicated for you as a woman, a WNBA player?” King asked Leslie, who responded, “It’s not complicated for me at all. I just have never seen him as being the kind of person that would do something violating to a woman or be aggressive in that way. That’s just not the person I know.”

After receiving backlash on social media, King called out her own network for airing the “out-of-context” clip. “I’ve been up reading the comments about the interview I did with Lisa Leslie about Kobe Bryant, and I know that if I had only seen the clip that you saw, I’d be extremely angry with me too,” said King, according to Page Six. “I am mortified. I am embarrassed and I am very angry.”

Snoop also slammed King’s best friend Oprah for her “Finding Neverland” interview with Michael Jackson’s accusers. “Did that fake ass micheal Jackson shit to tarnish his name with them lying ass kids and here she is with a known rapist smiling and laughing. Fuck u and Gayle. Free bill Cosby,” he wrote alongside a photo of Oprah with Weinstein.

50 Cent and Lil Boosie have also weighed in on King’s interview. “Why the fuck would you do something like that? Why would you do that to your people?” asked Boosie.
