2021 came and went without a new SZA album, but she is closing out the year with one more song.
Nearly a year since “Good Days” dropped on Christmas, the TDE songstress releases “I Hate U” to streaming services.
“And if you wondered if I hate you (I do) / Shitty of you to make me feel just like this / What I would do to make you feel just like this?” SZA sings on the three-minute track, which was previously released as part of a three-song SoundCloud drop in September that also included “Nightbird” and “Joni.”
“this started as an experiment on SoundCloud but y’all asked for it On streaming.. here it go,” she tweeted. “I HATE YOU OUT NOW ON ALL PLATFORMS.”

SZA continues to work on the long-awaited follow-up to her 2017 debut Ctrl. She recently earned four Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year, for “Kiss Me More,” her hit collaboration with Doja Cat.
