Rising hip-hop artist pronto recently shared his new single “I’m Done”, a song with a good dose of realness and betrayals. “I’m just showing love, you’re showing hate, that’s where we disconnect,” he dives into the rapping from the very beginning. The artist keeps his lyrics simple and relatable rather than dramatic, but the truth of getting stabbed in the back is evident immediately, and it makes the two-minute composition all the more impactful.
Calling his unique niche in hip-hop “therapy rap”, Pronto opened up about his art in an interview: “I never really knew how to cope with what I’m feeling growing up. I don’t like people and don’t hang around anyone because of the amount of betrayal I’ve been through. I always loved rap music and thought it was so unique how to get all these words in the world rhyming, so when I heard Rod Wave be able to tell a story and put feelings into the rap game, I knew I found my passion and my therapy.”
Keep an eye out for Pronto’s next drops as we’re certainly in for more fresh music!
