As fans will note, it was reported back in 2021 that Scott’s Cactus Jack Films had entered into a production deal with A24. At the time, the deal was described as including a project linked with Scott’s forthcoming Utopia album. It’s unclear at the time of this writing, however, whether A24 is involved with Aggro Dr1ft.
Complex has reached out to reps for Travis Scott and Harmony Korine for comment, as well as to A24. This story may be updated.
Korine last rolled into theaters with his Matthew McConaughey and Snoop Dogg-starring comedy The Beach Bum back in 2019. That film, also featuring Isla Fisher and Martin Lawrence, marked Korine’s return to the big screen seven years after the release of his acclaimed A24-backed (and Venice-premiered) hit Spring Breakers.
