Will Smith & Doechii Got Us Seeing Double in Trippy ‘Anxiety’ TikTok

Somebody’s watching Will Smith, but it’s not what (or rather who) you think it is.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air superstar linked up with the one-and-only Swamp Princess Doechii for a trippy TikTok clip on Thursday (March 13), where he’s seen mouthing along to her viral “Anxiety” track in the mirror before taking his hood off as Doechii mirrors his move and turns around in the chair to reveal her identity.

Last week, Smith posted a clip of the famous dancing scene from Fresh Prince of him and Tatyana Ali’s character Ashley Banks, where the “Anxiety” dance trend originated from. “I’ve been watching y’all and every video has been better than the last!! Love that track @Doechii. @Tatyana Ali remember this?” he wrote.

Doechii officially released the solo version of her “Anxiety” track — which samples Gotye‘s 2012 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 and Grammy-winning record “Somebody That I Used to Know,” featuring Kimbra — on DSPs last week after it was steadily gaining traction on TikTok. She originally released it on YouTube in 2019 as part of her Coven Music Sessions, and Sleepy Hallow sampled it on his “ANXIETY” track from 2023 album Boy Meets World. The recent social media-fueled surge has launched Hallow’s version to No. 45 on the Hot 100, No. 11 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and No. 8 on Hot Rap Songs this week (charts dated March 15). Meanwhile, Doechii’s solo version debuted at No. 3 on Bubbling Under Hot 100.

Doechii and Smith have another thing in common: making rap history at the Grammys. As part of the hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince with Jeffrey Allen Townes, Smith received the first Grammy for best rap performance at the 1989 awards show with “Parents Just Don’t Understand.” And Doechii became the third woman ever to win the Grammy for best rap album at the 2025 awards show with Alligator Bites Never Heal.
