London-based duo Worldpeace DMT have officially returned to the spotlight, dropping their latest mixtape, Flowers Powers. The release serves as a bridge to their highly anticipated follow-up to their previous project, The Velvet Underground & Rowan. Fans can expect a blend of familiar sounds and fresh experimentation, as the mixtape features the recent single “Lonesome” alongside a distinctive cover of Joni Mitchell’s classic “Big Yellow Taxi.”
The creative partnership between Leo Fincham and Rowan Please—the latter known for their work with the Femcels—continues to evolve with this latest collection. The mixtape is intended to set the stage for their upcoming studio album, Stick Around for Tea, which is slated for an October release.
In addition to the new music, the duo has announced a rescheduled mini-tour across North America, also set for October. The tour will see the pair performing two-night residencies in New York at Baby’s All Right and Los Angeles, where they will play at Scribble and Oblivion respectively. The run will conclude with a final performance at Schubas in Chicago.
