Young Thug is taking it to the ‘Gram.
After coming under fire for his controversial comments about JAY-Z in a recent interview, the YSL rapper is responding to the backlash.
Posting to Instagram Stories on Tuesday night (Dec. 29), Thug clarified his comments. “Don’t have jay z on me cause of this internet shit,” he told his followers. “I was talking [too] fast but y’all know what I meant.”

The controversy follows his interview with Gillie Da Kid’s “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast where Thug boasted about his catalog, saying that concertgoers know at least 30 of his songs when he performs. “When I perform, I got 30, 40 songs that the whole stadium gon’ know. They gon’ know these ones, all 30 songs,” he said.
He also insinuated that he has more hits than Hov. “JAY-Z ain’t got 30 songs like that…that the whole stadium gonna sing,” added Thug.
After the host countered his argument, Thug admitted, “He probably got 50 of them bitches. I’m not just literally saying him, I’m saying ni**as who you thinking the man…”
However, that didn’t stop the backlash. His name was trending all day after his comments went viral.
