There has been much buzz around Young Thug‘s release from prison, which had fans excited for a full length project from the artist. Well, the rollout is in full motion, so fans can expect to hear something real soon.
In fact, the last few days have been especially crucial to the rollout — first, the establishment of a mysterious Instagram account, followed by NBA appearances and music snippets, and now, a Coachella billboard.
Why is that important? Well, the billboard (which was spotted at Coachella) reads, “The universe has been too quiet. Until now. UY Scuti,” making a reference to the largest and brightest star discovered in our universe, which has a volume 5 billion times greater than that of our Sun.
While this might be an obvious indication that Young Thug plans on positioning himself as the biggest star that has ever been in the business of modern music, what may be easily missed is the little date at the bottom right corner of the board. Leaving a space for the exact date, the billboard hints at a 5/25 release — meaning we might get new music from Thugger as early as next month.
But the speculation does not end there. Some fans on X think that the album will release on May 9th, 2025 to be precise. This may very well be the case, considering Young Thug was released from jail on May 9, three years back. The same date this year happens to be on a Friday, a day preferred by many artists and labels as the ideal day for music release.
