50 Cent Fat-Shamed On Twitter Following Super Bowl Halftime Show Performance

50 Cent made a surprise appearance during the Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show on Sunday night (February 13) as the Los Angeles Rams took on the Cincinnati Bengals.

For his portion of the roughly 12-minute performance, 50 Cent spit a few bars from his 2003 mega-hit “In Da Club.” As he hung upside down rapping his verses, people thought the Power mogul appeared to have put on a few pounds.

Wearing a white tank top and black pants, 50 Cent blazed through his set with ease. Even so, Twitter instantly started to pick apart his appearance, despite the 46-year-old rap legend looking relatively fit. True, he’s not the cut 28-year-old featured on the Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ album cover, but nobody looks like they did almost 20 years ago.

As fat jokes began to fly, several of 50 Cent’s fans came to his defense, as did others who don’t really care about him either way. The notion he was “fat” just didn’t sit right with some people. Still, there were a few who thought he deserved it.

As one person said, “Typically I would be against the body shaming of 50 Cent but the way his misogynistic vitriol is targeted towards Black women and their bodies the majority of the time, this fat Black girl gonna get some full belly laughs at his expense.”

While 50 Cent didn’t exactly address the fat-shaming, he did share a meme of D12 rapper Bizarre hanging upside down in the 2004 “My Band” video and asked, “Who the fvck did this?”

50 Cent has definitely teased his fair share of people online over the years, so maybe this is simply a dose of his own medicine. Whatever the case, it’s been a popular Twitter topic for over 24 hours. Check out some of the reactions below.
