Max B promised to “open the floodgates” upon his early release from prison after a long 16-year sentence, and boy did he deliver. The Harlem rapper has come out swinging with a new project, featuring artists like French Montana, Kehlani, and the elusive A$AP Rocky (who has finally announced his own project to the world).
The 25-track effort is a big one, with highlights being ‘Chase the Check,’ where Max B and Rocky go bar for bar over an energetic set up. In a mixtape like fashion, the rapper also touches the legendary ‘Pound Cake’ beat that Drake & Hov had, titling the song ‘Cheesecake,’ which comes in right after the Rocky joint.
Fans online joked how Max B has pulled a “reverse Bobby Shmurda,” leaving no loose ends as he raps like the rent is due almost immediately after his release. Check out the project below!
