Lala Lala will make her Sub Pop debut with Heaven 2, a new album due February 27. The Chicago singer-songwriter otherwise known as Lillie West will bring the record on a tour of North America the following month; check out the itinerary below. Two songs—the near title track “Heaven2” and “Even Mountains Erode,” also below—come with the announcement.
Jay Som’s Melina Duterte co-produced the album with West, and contributors include Sen Morimoto, Macie Stewart, and Porches’ Aaron Maine. Formerly signed to Sub Pop imprint Hardly Art, Lala Lala released her last full-scale album, I Want the Door to Open, in 2021. In 2024, she shared an instrumental LP called If I Were a Real Man I Would Be Able to Break the Neck of a Suffering Bird.
