Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson have officially called it quits. The Grammy-winning rapper confirmed their separation on Saturday, April 25, shortly after publicly alleging that Thompson had been unfaithful in a series of candid posts shared via Instagram Stories.
“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” Megan stated in an official comment provided to Billboard. “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
The public confirmation followed a series of temporary posts on the artist’s Instagram account earlier that day. In a blunt message to her followers, Megan wrote, “Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet.’ Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’????” She concluded the message with a definitive, “b— I need a REAL break after this one .. by yall.”
The couple, who first connected in the summer of 2025, had previously maintained a high-profile relationship. Megan had often spoken fondly of the Dallas Mavericks shooting guard, famously describing their initial meeting as a “meet cute” and characterizing Thompson as “the nicest person I’ve ever met in my life.” The pair made their red carpet debut in New York City in July 2025, and by the following Thanksgiving, the relationship appeared to be deepening, with Thompson naming his boat the “SS Stallion” and the couple spending the holiday with his family.
As recently as February 2026, Megan had publicly expressed her hopes for the future of the relationship, joking in a video clip filmed in Milan that she was “manifesting my engagement” to the NBA star. Megan is currently continuing her professional commitments, including her run in Broadway’s Moulin Rouge!, which is scheduled to conclude in mid-May.
