“From Year of Mac to Book of Mac, it’s been an incredible journey documenting Malcolm’s music and legacy,” Chesman wrote on Twitter. “Thank you to the 30-plus people I interviewed, to the family, and to the fans for trusting me with this story. This one’s for you.”

The Pittsburgh native passed away on September 7, 2018. His death was ruled an accidental drug overdose due to a lethal mix of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol.

When TDE engineer MixedByAli is done renovating an iconic former Death Row Records studio in Los Angeles, he’s promising to honor the late Nipsey Hussle and Mac Miller with a memorial hallway.

“I wanna really give back to the people that inspired me the most,” he explained. “So I want this to be a memorial hallway for Nipsey Hussle and Mac Miller, so I’m gonna do all my Nipsey Hussle plaques down the wall on this left side and all my Mac Miller plaques and pictures of me and him on this right side. And really just have that memorial for the homies, rest in peace.”

In separate book news, Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon is also releasing his From Staircase To Stage memoir on November 9.

“A story of a kid from Staten Island who faced countless adversities to then connect with one of the biggest hip hop groups on the planet,” The Chef wrote. “To my Fans across the globe…. this is my story to you …. I need y’all to grab this.”
